Car Parking

Use the car parking functionality to manage parking spaces and their allocations.

Select from the managing for managing car park records:

Adding or Editing a Parking Space

To add or edit a parking space:

  • Navigate to Estates > Car Parking > New Parking Space.

Alternatively, search for and open an existing parking space record.

The Parking Space Editor is displayed

  • Enter or edit the relevant details.

The fields on the Parking Space Editor are described in the following table:

Holds this information...

Number

The parking space number.

Parking Type

The parking type (for example: Private Parking, Multi-storey Parking and so on).

These can be defined in Parking Type Reference Data (accessed by navigating to Estates > Car Parking > Car Parking).

Space Type

The type of space.

These can be defined in Space Type Reference Data (accessed by navigating to Estates > Car Parking > Car Parking).

Rate Code

The rate code.

These can be defined in Rate Code Reference Data (accessed by navigating to Estates > Car Parking > Car Parking).

Comments

Any comments on the parking space.

Covered

Whether the parking space is covered (for example: has a roof).

Disability

Whether the parking space is a disabled space.

  • Click Save.

Adding a Location to s Parking Space Record

To add a location to a parking space record:

  • Search for and open the relevant parking space record.

  • Click the Add Location option in the Tasks panel.

The Select location window is displayed.

  • Select the relevant location and then click OK.

The Parking Space Location List is displayed with the new location added.

This screen can also be accessed by clicking the Parking Space Location(s) option in the Associated Items panel.

Allocating Parking Spaces

To allocate car parking spaces:

  • Search for and open the relevant parking space record.

  • Click the Allocate option in the Tasks panel.

Alternatively, click the Allocation(s) option in the Associated Items panel and then double-click an existing record to open it.

  • The Parking Space Allocation Editor is displayed.

  • Enter the relevant details.

The fields on the Parking Space Allocation Editor are described in the following table:

Allocation

Whether the parking space is allocated to an agency, contact or department. Enter the first few characters of the name of the agency, contact or department in the adjacent field and select from the drop-down list.

Payment Code

The payment code.

Note: These can be defined in Payment Code Reference Data (accessed by navigating to Estates > Car Parking > Car Parking).

Notice Period

The notice period if there is an end date selected.

Temporary

Whether the allocation is temporary.

Start Date

The start date of the allocation.

End Date

The end date of the allocation.

Invoice To Date

The date to invoice to.

Sublet

Whether the parking space is sublet. Selecting this field enables the remaining fields in the Sublet Details section.

Allocation

Whether the parking space is sublet to an agency, contact or department. Enter the first few characters of the name of the agency, contact or department in the adjacent field and select from the drop-down list.

Start Date

The start date of the sublet.

End Date

The end date of the sublet.

Comments

Any comments on the allocation.

  • Click Save.
