Portable Appliance Testing

Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) is the examination of electrical appliances and equipment to ensure they are safe to use. Most electrical safety defects can be found by visual examination but some types of defect can only be found by testing. It is essential to understand that visual examination is a crucial part of the process because some types of electrical safety defect cannot be detected by testing alone.

The Portable Appliance Testing module in K2 allows the recording of results and actions of the appliance, as well as being able to record the inspection date, re-inspection date and status.

The Portable Appliance Record (PAT) module allows you to add a new record or review an existing inspection.
