Service Request Customisation

A customised Service Request is a variation on an existing Service Request Type to create something new. For example, if a Building requires cleaning rather than raising it as a Maintenance request type, you might want to create a new Cleaning type built upon the fields from Service Request Maintenance. These customised type can be created from the existing Service Request Types such as Maintenance, Portering, Key, Equipment Booking, Hospitality or Taxi.

Adding or Editing Customised Service Request

Navigate to Services > New Service Request.

Depending on whether the customised request is under a group or an item.

Either

  • Select the icon/name relating to the Customised Service Request

Or

  • Select the Group and then the Icon/Name of the Customised Service Request.

Once created the new record type is searchable.

Assigning Permissions to a User

To assign permissions to a user.

Navigate to Tools > Admin > User\Role Security

  • Click Roles link to add to an existing role.

or

  • Click Add a new Role from the Tasks panel.

  • Select the permission(s) from the Available Permissions.

  • Click Add.

  • Click Save.

Navigate to Services > New Service Request.

  • Click on the group icon.

The new customised service request is now active.
