Configuring the Asbestos Module

The permissions applicable to the Asbestos module are described in the following table:

Permission…	Allows users to...
AsbestosActionPlan	View, create and update asbestos actions.
AsbestosComponent	View, create and update asbestos components.
AsbestosReferenceData	View, create and update Asbestos Reference Data.
AsbestosReport	Run the Asbestos Report (ACM Register and Action Report). This permission does not make use of the permission levels (that is: selecting View, Edit or Full allows the user to run the report).
AsbestosSample	View, create and update asbestos sample records.
AsbestosSpreadsheetExport	Export asbestos data to Microsoft Excel.
AsbestosSpreadsheetImport	Import asbestos data from Microsoft Excel.
AsbestosSurvey	View, create and update asbestos survey headers.

The following System Options (accessed by navigating to Tools > System Options and then clicking the System Options button) contains the settings for the Asbestos module.

• Asbestos Auto Unique Numbering (Auto Numbering group) – whether to allow the system to generate new asbestos numbers automatically. Enter ‘False’ to disable the function.

• Restrict Export by Survey Locations (Health and Safety group) – whether to restrict export by survey location. Enter ‘False’ to disable the function.

The Asbestos Reference Data applies to the Asbestos module (accessed by navigating to Health and Safety > Asbestos > Asbestos).
