Configuring Assets

Roles and permissions

The permissions applicable to the Assets module are described in the following table:

Permission…	Allows users to...
Asset	View, create and update assets.
AssetReferenceData	View, create and update Asset reference data.
AssetSystem	View, create and update asset systems (for example: heating systems).

System settings

The Asset Component Tree Auto Unique Number setting in System Options (accessed by navigating to Tools > System Options and then clicking the System Options button) contains the only setting directly applicable to the Assets functionality.

Reference data

The Asset reference data (accessed by navigating to Functions > Asset > Asset) contains all of the reference data relevant to the Asset module.
