Configuring Contracts
Select from the following to help configure the contract management functionality:
The roles applicable to contract management functionality are described in the following table

Maintenance Contract Expire Notification | Receive a notification for the expiration of a maintenance contract. |
The permissions applicable to contract management functionality are described in the following table.

Contract | View, create and update contacts against a capital project. |
ContractAuthorise | Authorise contracts against a capital project. This requires the Full permission level. |
ContractAuthoriseOwnContracts | Authorise your own contracts against a capital project. This requires the Full permission level. |
ContractUnauthorise | Unauthorise contracts against a capital project. This requires the Full permission level. |
MaintenanceContract | View, create and update maintenance contracts. |
MaintenanceContractReferenceData | View, create and update maintenance contracts reference data (in Contract Management reference data). |

There are various System Option settings (accessed by navigating to Tools > System Options and then clicking the System Options button) that directly affect the contract management functionality:
Contract Auto Unique Number (under Auto Numbering) - whether to automatically generate a unique reference number for a new contract record
Maintenance Contract End Notification Period (under Maintenance Contract) - the number of days before the end date of the maintenance contract that a notification is generated
Maintenance Contract Mandatory (under Job) - whether a maintenance contract is mandatory for a job record
Restricted by Maintenance Contract (under Timesheet Entry) - whether to only be able to select the Direct Labour Operatives from maintenance contract roles in Timesheet Entry
Use Contract Items or Project Items (under Maintenance) - whether to raise items against contracts or projects.
Once an item is linked to one of these, this option is read-only.
