Manage PPM Jobs

A job is created from a PPM Active Task if it is going to be undertaken by an internal labour team. The job represents the specific work to be undertaken.

PPM Jobs are created either automatically from the PPM Task or manually from the PPM Active Task.

PPM Jobs can be seen on PPM Active Task History which can be opened from the Associated Item panel of a PPM Task.

Selecting a PPM Active Task will show Jobs that are linked to it.

When PPM Jobs are generated automatically at the time PPM Active Tasks are generated then one job will be generated with Job Items created from the Instruction set linked to the PPM Task. Each Location, Asset or Unit will have a set of Job Items linked to the Job.

Manually creating a Job from PPM Active Task
  • Select New Job from the Associated Item panel of a PPM Active Task.

  • Select Instruction Set Items dialog will be displayed.

Choose one of the following options:

  • Allocate all Instruction Set Items. A set of Job Items from the Instruction set will be create for each Location, Asset and/or Unit that is linked to the PPM Active Task.

  • Allocate specific Instruction Set Items. By selecting this option Instruction Set Items can be split between multiple Jobs linked to the same PPM Active Task.

If not all of the Instruction Set Items are linked to a Job linked to the PPM Active Task then the next time a Job is create only the Items not linked to a Job can be selected.

  • Select OK.

  • Job Editor will open with the requested Jobs Items created. Other details can be added if required before selecting Save.

Updating PPM Job Items Status

Job Item Status can be updated either in K2 Client or K2 Mobile when the Job is assigned to a Direct Labour.

To update the Job Item Status in K2 Client:

  • Select the Job Item

Progress of completed Job Items will be shown on the linked PPM Active Task Summary Screen.

  • Select the PPM Active Task tab will allow the selected Job Item to be:

    • Transfer to Existing Job - Only if there is another Job linked to the PPM Active Task.

    • Transfer to New Job - will create a new Job.

    • Add Instruction Set Item(s) - Only if there are outstanding Items not linked to another Job.
