Configuring Incident

Roles and Permissions

The permissions applicable to the Incident functionality are described in the following table:

Incident

View, create and update incident records.

IncidentReferenceData

View, create and update Incident Reference Data.

Refer to Managing Roles for further information.

System Settings

The only system option (accessed by navigating to Tools > System Options and then clicking the System Options button) applicable to the incident functionality is the Incident Auto Unique Numbering (in the Auto Numbering group) – this determines whether to allow the system to automatically generate new incident numbers. Enter ‘False’ to disable the function.

Reference Data

The following reference data applies to the incident functionality:

  • All items in Incident Reference Data (accessed by navigating to Business Continuity > Incident > Incident)

  • Action Type in Core reference data (accessed by navigating to Functions > Core > Reference Data > Core)
