Configuring Jobs

Select from the following to help configure the jobs functionality:

Roles and Permissions

The role applicable to the jobs functionality is described in the following table:

Job Cancellation Notification

Receive a notification in the Notifications panel if a job is cancelled.

The permissions applicable to the jobs functionality are described in the following table:

Permission

Allows users to...

DirectLabour

Add contacts to the direct labour workforce so that they can be assigned to job records.

Job

View, create and update jobs.

JobAssignmentManagement

View and update job records that have been assigned to direct labour resources.

JobReferenceData

View and update Jobs Reference Data.

JobReport

Run the job report.

This permission does not make use of the permission levels (that is: selecting View, Edit or Full allows the user to run the report).

OperativeAssignmentManagement

Access Operative Assignment Management.

PermitToWork

View, create and update permits to work against a job.

TimeApproval

Approve or reject the operatives hours recorded against jobs.

TimesheetEntryAdmin

Administer timesheet entries.

System Settings

The following settings should be considered for the job functionality:

  • All items in Jobs system settings (accessed by navigating to Tools > System Options and then clicking the System Options button)

  • The Timesheet Administrator setting in User Options (accessed by navigating to Tools > User Options)
