Roles and Permissions

The role applicable to the PPM module is described in the following table:

Role…	Allows users to...
PPM Active Tasks Generation Notification	Receive a notification that describes whether the active task generation was completed successfully.

The permissions applicable to the PPM module are described in the following table:

Permission…	Allows users to...
GeneratePPMActiveTasks	Generate and update PPM Active Tasks.
Job	View, create, and update jobs.
JobAssignmentManagement	View and update job records that have been assigned to direct labour resources.
JobReferenceData	View and update Jobs Reference Data.
JobReport	Run the job report. This permission does not make use of the permission levels (that is: selecting View, Edit or Full allows the user to run the report).
OperativeAssignmentManagement	Access Operative Assignment Management.
PPM	View PPM menu options.
PPMActive	View, create, and update active PPM Tasks.
PPMActiveNotebook	View and update notebook entries for active PPM Tasks.
PPMReferenceData	View, create, and update PPM Reference Data.

System Settings

There are two system settings (accessed by navigating to Tools > System Options and then clicking the System Options button) that directly affect the PPM module:

Active PPM Period (under Maintenance) – the number of weeks in advance that PPM Active Tasks are generated. Enter ‘0’ to disable the function.
Maintenance Contract End Notification Period (under Maintenance Contract) – the number of days before the end of a maintenance contract that a notification is generated.

The Maintenance Contract Expire Notification role and workflow are also required.
